We have developed the ultimate software solution to get a clear picture of all possible consequences of all possible variants in the planning phase of urban developments. The 3D Cityplanner makes political, social, constructional and environmental choices transparent for everyone. That yields a plan that leaves nothing to be guessed.
Do you want support for your plans?
Do you want the involvement of all parties?
Do you want to save consultancy costs?
Do you want fewer failure costs?
Do you want a plan that can be realized faster?
Then choose the 3D Cityplanner.
The 3D Cityplanner is based on our 3D Geoviewer. With the 3D Cityplanner policy makers, directors, managers, urban developers and architects can get an insight into complex spatial issues.
All available data, mainly public sources, but if desired also from other sources, can be included. The 3DCityplanner delivers quick access to data, possibilities to combine data and presenting data in a clear manner. The effect is an optimal use of available data and this results in a responsible land use and management above and below ground.
The 3D Cityplanner is a 3D-software tool in a browser that visualizes and calculates spatial plans in an intuitive way. A large number of aspects like finances, land use and sustainability can be taken into account and calculated. It’s a tool which integrates design and calculations. In recent years, this is also called GeoDesign: planning and designing spatial plans, using all available Geo-information and simulations.
The 3DCityplanner offers:
An online 3D visualization of the project area, including existing buildings, vegetation, soil structure, cables, pipelines and underground constructions.
3D layers with additional data. For instance zoning, cultural heritage, groundwater protection areas and pollution.
The option to define a project area yourself and design complete urban development areas. The tool is able to search public geodata servers. This provides a collection of base data of every area. The software converts this data to a 3D model which can be used in the viewer.
Worldwide data such as 3D buildings and the possibility to add existing data, harmonize, combine and translate it to usefull information.

The world has become a lot smaller due to the use of the internet, but still a lot of our daily activities take place in our local community. The succes of this community is strongly related and dependent on accessibility to and exchange of local information.
With the information application called 3D Geoviewer a digital map in 3D of the city is presented to residents or stakeholders which easily enables them to access and collect relevant information about the municipality and ‘connect’ with their surroundings. The first and most relevant information is coming from local government which is using the platform to distribute all practical messages about (local) government affairs. By using the map the municipality hopes that this will become the main means of communication with residents, who can, in turn, use it to create their own application.
You can take a look into the development of this application by visiting the website 3D Geoviewer

Do you want to see what the state of liveability is in your neighborhood? Or do you want to know what new urban development does with the amount of green per house? The Liveability Effect Report, abbreviated to LER, offers the solution.
You can do adjustments in the 3D Geoviewer for a neighborhood, which can be shared with residents through a webpage. Air quality, particulate matter, amount of trees per resident, crime statistics, distance to services and more can be showed with the liveablitity score in the neighborhood.
These standards are determined by objectives of the city or country. They are facts and the LER shows if the goals or standerds are met. If a neighborhood has a positive score, new urban developments can change the liveability score because other subjects are not taken into account.
The neighborhood Bezuidenhout in The Hague is the first Dutch neighborhood who actively uses the LER and are very pleased with the results. Because of the LER, the municipality is aware that they will not have enough dentists, playgrounds and public parks for the estimated growth of residents in Bezuidenhout. Because of the LER, they can anticipate on it before it is too late.

Spatial development, project development and urban design are all complex disciplines. Traditional training and education don’t prepare employees sufficiently for solving problems with a highly integrated character. It’s also possible that in long term projects deep-rooted structures and views, or a prevailing culture on the work floor act counter productive. People are sometimes stuck in patterns, causing different kind of solutions being overlooked.
With Serious Gaming it’s possible to train your organization in a realistic setting to deal with complex situations and problems. In a serious game not only the technical aspects of an issue can be considered, but also organizational or political aspects. Because it’s a game and not a real project, people are stimulated to come up with out of the box solutions. Also, by switching roles an understanding is created for interests of other parties involved in a project.
We develop our Serious Games in our subsidiary called RO2. Several Serious Games have been developed, which can be offered as a guided workshop. It’s also possible to develop a tailor-made game, which would be based on our in-house developed game engine UGAME. After identifying your wishes and demands, the necessary data is collected and processed into a game.
