The search for the best solution starts with organizing the correct data. To measure is to know. Cadastral data, current land use, real estate (value, function, energy consumption), zoning plans, structure plans, environmental restrictions and under- and aboveground infrastructure. The result is a map with an accurate and up-to-date representation of the actual situation. This map is interactive and can be filtered on any desired attribute. The base map gives insights into spatial preconditions and is the starting point for analyses and generating solutions in the next steps of the process.

The base map is a good start of your project. In the next step complex analyses will be possible. For instance by relating data and calculation tools to make financial analyses, land use overviews and spatial effect studies. But also technical and sustainability studies: Where do combinations of infrastructure cause problems? Where are possiblities for energy saving? All results will be presented in clear maps, graphs en reports.

In many cases a single spatial solution is selected too early in the planning process. When it’s clear this solution wasn’t the right decision after all, this leads to delay, additional costs and reduced support. Simulations are a means to prevent this from happening. By simulating spatial interventions and by calculating the effects on finance (feasability and funding), space (program and quality) and market (marketability), it’s soon clear which solutions are promising and which are not. With the simulations the robustness of a solution is tested as well. Solutions which are only feasible under certain conditions can be exposed. By using modern 3D and Big Data technologies StrateGis is able to produce these simulations quickly and carefully.
